Career

Andreea Burtoiu joined RTPR (Radu Tărăcilă Pădurari Retevoescu SCA) in 2004. Andreea has extensive experience in banking and finance acting on behalf of domestic and international banks and borrowers on syndicated and bilateral credit transactions and advising security takers and providers on the creation and perfection of security interests. She also provides advice on derivatives and cash management tools, restructuring transactions, as well as capital markets matters. Recently she coordinated the first mortgage bonds issue programme in Romania with a value of EUR 1 billion.
She advised on some of the most important transactions in Romania in recent years, her experience highlights include advising EBRD on a USD60m secured financing to SNTGN Transgaz SA Medias, the national gas transmission grid operator, for the construction of Phase 1 of the Bulgaria-Romania-Hungary-Austria pipeline/corridor (BRUA project); Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and funds managed by Cairn Capital on the EUR180m secured bond financing agreement of Globalworth Real Estate Investments Ltd.; A&D Pharma Group on the EUR57m extension of their existing bank credit facilities, the financing being provided by a club of banks comprised of UniCredit Tiriac Bank S.A. and BRD – Groupe Société Générale S.A. and related security package. Her capital markets experience includes the issue by the Romanian Ministry of Public Finance of notes under a MTN Programme, Schaeffler’s issue of high-yield bonds with a total volume of approximately EUR1bn and USD600m and the listing of Transgaz (the largest IPO in Romania at the time).

Andreea Burtoiu is fluent in English and in French and competent in Spanish.

Memberships

Andreea Burtoiu is a qualified Romanian lawyer, registered with the Bucharest Bar. She is also a member of the National Union of Romanian Bar Associations.

Education

Andreea Burtoiu graduated from the University of Bucharest, Law Faculty, in 2004. Andreea also holds a Master degree on “Management of Banking Systems” from the Bucharest Academy for Economic Studies.
