Costin Tărăcilă is the Managing Partner of RTPR (Radu Tărăcilă Pădurari Retevoescu SCA). Costin specialises in M&A, private equity, corporate and capital markets and commercial law related aspects. He is frequently advising a number of private equity funds on the acquisition and add-on acquisitions, restructuring and sale of companies, such as Mid Europa Partners, Enterprise Investors, Advent International, CEECAT Capital, Oresa, Abris Capital Partners, Resource Partners, Global Finance and 3TS.
Recently, Costin led the legal team that advised MidEuropa Partners’ EUR1.3 billion sale of Profi to Ahold Delhaize; Intesa Sanpaolo Bank’s acquisition of First Bank from J.C. Flowers; MIRA’s acquisition of CEZ assets in Romania; Jean Valvis’ sale of a 20% stake in AQUA Carpatica to PepsiCo; Enterprise Investors on the sale of Profi supermarket chain to Mid Europa Partners; the shareholders of A&D Pharma, the largest pharma group in Romania, operating wholesale, retail and marketing & sales business and with operations in CEE as well, on the sale of the entire group to Dr Max (the Czech pharmacy chain owned by Penta Investments); Enterprise Investors on the sale of Macon group to Xella Group; CEECAT Capital on the sale of Brikston Construction Solutions S.A., one of the major players on the masonry and finishing materials market in Romania, to the Austrian group Leier; Advent International on the exits from Ceramica SA Iasi and from the healthcare services provider Regina Maria; Centrul Medical Unirea (the healthcare services provider “Regina Maria”) and Mid Europa Partners on the acquisition of Ponderas Hospital.
