Position
Adv. Sharon Aloni has over 25 years of experience in a wide range of international transactions in the fields of technology and intellectual property, including a variety of licensing transactions (in respect of software, algorithms, patents, trademarks, software as a service (SaaS), artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), apps, standards, content etc.); computerization, research and development, escrow, distribution, OEM and maintenance agreements; and feasibility surveys; strategic alliances, partnerships, and joint ventures; asset sales and spinouts; collaborations and co-development arrangements as well as agreements for the global supply and implementation of complex technology systems and global outsourcing transactions.
In addition, Sharon advises various Israeli and foreign clients, including hi-tech and bio-med companies, startups and ‘mature’ companies, on various aspects of intellectual property law, including in the fields of copyright, open source, AI, ML, online policies (including terms of use and privacy policies), and various issues relating to internet law.
Furthermore, Sharon is an expert and advises on privacy protection, information security and cyber related issues.
Sharon represents entities on sophisticated matters relating to transactions that involve know how funded by the Israel Innovation Authority (IIA).
Sharon handles investments, merger and acquisition transactions as well as IPOs from an intellectual property, privacy and IIA perspective.
Sharon lectures at professional and educational conferences, including in depth seminars to professionals in respect of open source licenses, privacy know how funded by the IIA and various intellectual property related issues.
In the past, Sharon served as the legal advisor of two leading hi-tech and communications companies.
