Position
Adv. Assaf Berenson specializes in labor law, both private and collective, and is experienced in managing litigation proceedings in the field. He provides ongoing counsel to various private and commercial clients, including with regard to drafting employment agreements, advising on labor crisis situations, providing legal opinions (in relation to due diligence as well), pension counsel and more.
Assaf possesses unique expertise in the collective labor law field, and has many years of experience advising on initial organization, collective negotiations and collective agreements related to strikes, labor disputes, privatization, transfers of control and corporate restructuring. Moreover, he is experienced in representing public entities and officials before the Finance Ministry’s Department of Salary and Employment Agreements.
Over the years, Assaf advised on dozens of collective agreements in various organizations, including universities, municipalities, infrastructure companies, defense corporations, public service and more.
In the litigation aspect, Assaf represents his clients in complex labor law litigation proceedings, including class actions, collective proceedings and disciplinary hearings.
In addition, Assaf serves in the military reserves as an officer in the Military Advocate General’s Corps, where he serves as legal advisor on labor law.
In the past, Assaf co-authored (together with his father, Adv. Haim Berenson) an article on “Sympathy Strikes” in honor of his grandfather, the late Supreme Court Judge, Zvi Berenson, published in the second volume of the book known as the Berenson Book, “Bnei Svara”.
