Education
After Jolien completed her first Master in Leiden, she went on to pursue a Master in Maritime Law at the University of Southampton, which she attained in 2005. In 2017, Jolien obtained her PhD at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Her dissertation was titled ‘General Average, Legal Basis and Applicable Law.’ Jolien has also published a book ‘General average and the presence of fault’ which was printed in 2004.
