Work Department
Corporate.
Position
I specialise in advising on corporate transactions including M&A, joint ventures, private equity and venture capital investments as well as restructurings. I have extensive experience in advising on cross-border transactions with a particular emphasis on Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and the Benelux and Nordic countries.
I am first and foremost a transactional lawyer who specialises in advising on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance transactions of all kinds, as well as on corporate joint ventures. I feel lucky that I am able to say that I enjoy what I do. My enjoyment comes from advising and helping clients and, in doing so, working with driven and talented people.
My practice has a strong international element. For my international clients, I act as extension of their legal team in relation to their UK businesses, advising on legal issues that their business or investment may encounter in the UK. As their first point of contact, I coordinate the response within our firm and ensure that the client gets exactly what they require, within the timeframe they need it in.
As a native German speaker, I am particularly well known for advising clients from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. We have a fantastic team of German speakers in the firm who can advise clients from the German speaking regions in all core areas of English law. We understand the differences between business and legal cultures home and abroad and are adept at bridging these, thereby delivering real added value to our clients’ UK businesses.
