Work Department
Corporate.
Position
As the firm’s Executive Partner, I am responsible for the development and execution of the firm’s overall strategic and partner recruitment objectives. When not doing that, I have a long-standing and highly active client base in the technology, betting & gaming, sport, leisure and resources sectors advising those clients on achieving their business and personal objectives through the delivery of strategic, value-added and solution-orientated structuring, corporate (public and private) and commercial advice.
I have been at Fladgate since 2008, having joined from my own firm which I set up in 2005. Initially starting out as a media & entertainment lawyer, I then switched to corporate law where, because of my initial experience with intellectual property (IP) matters, most of my clients emanated from “IP rich” industries such as technology, gaming, leisure and sport. I advise on both the IP and corporate aspects of a transaction in structuring, protecting and exploiting IP assets so as to drive enhanced value-add for my clients.
Whilst advising primarily on corporate transactions for clients (spanning everything from seed investments, private and growth capital, initial public offerings (IPO) and mergers & acquisitions), an increasing part of my work has been in advising on the structuring of corporate and private assets internationally including building out private investment and family office structures for clients.
