Career
Renate is a partner and candidate civil law-notary in AKD’s Banking & Finance practice group. Renate holds a market-leading position for ship finance deals, specialising in international ship financing and the sale and leasing of newly built vessels. She has vast experience handling international ship financing deals, the sale, purchase and leasing of vessels, the registration and mortgaging of vessels, including yachts, under Dutch flag and more in general all notarial services, including corporate services, in relation to the maritime sector.
She advises corporate clients, investment funds and financial institutions on a wide range of finance transactions, with a particular focus on ship financing transactions. She is also responsible for all notarial aspects within the (general) financing practise. Recent work includes major cross-border acquisition and ship financing transactions and complex restructuring projects. She also advises clients in relation to corporate matters, including notarial services.
