With pricing and reimbursement, manufacturing agreements, marketing authorisations forming a key part of Uría Menéndez‘s caseload, the firm is also noted for advising on M&A and the establishment of laboratories. Following the retirement of Teresa Paz-Ares, Beatriz Cocina, Montiano Monteagudo, and Ingrid Pi assumed leadership of the practice. In Madrid, Cocina is an expert in supply systems and collaboration agreements within the healthcare industry. In the Barcelona office, Monteagudo often represents pharma laboratories and corporations in trade mark proceedings and the protection of trade secrets, while Pi is a key contact for patent nullity and infringement proceedings, in addition to interim injunctions. Francisco Javier García assists with unfair competition issues and data privacy work in this space.
