Position
Equity Partner, based in Brussels. Bernard O’Connor is an EU and WTO lawyer and manages the Brussels office of Nctm. Mr O’Connor advises domestic and international clients on EU and WTO Law. Qualified in 1980, Bernard opened his own practice in 1996. In 2009 Bernard joined Nctm. He has extensive litigation experience both in the EU courts in Luxembourg and in WTO dispute settlement in Geneva. He currently represents the Council of the EU in trade cases before the EU courts. Many of his cases have concerned EU and WTO food and agricultural law.
Mr O’Connor teaches in a number of universities including: the State University, Milan, (full time course, undergraduate); the MILE at the University of Bern, and at IELPO, University of Barcelona and at Carlos III, Madrid (all trade modules, post graduate). He has written books on EU and WTO law.
