Career

Luis is partner of Litigation and Arbitration at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo.

He has extensive experience in litigation and arbitration. In particular, he advises clients on civil and commercial litigation related to, among others, banking, construction, energy, corporate law, agency and distribution agreements and international public and investment law.

At an international level, he has taken part in arbitrations before the Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) and the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. In Spain Luis has taken part in arbitrations before various institutions such as the Arbitration Court of the Madrid Chamber of Commerce (CAM), the Spanish Court of Arbitration (CEA) and the Civil and Mercantile Arbitration Court (CIMA).

Education

Law degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (“Autónoma University of Madrid”). He has a master’s degree in Business Management from the Instituto de Empresa (“IE Business School) and a master’s degree Executive in the Improvement of the abilities in Law and Litigation practice Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía (“ISDE Law Business School”).

In addition, he is Technical in the Financial Markets by the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles, IEB (“Institute of Stock Market Studies, IEB”).
