Testimonials
‘If I need them, the Bonelli team is ready and responsive. I have never reached out to them to find them short for an answer a very short time. The whole firm and teams breathe respect and professionalism with a strong client focus.’
‘Mostafa Elfar and Mohannad Fathi, under the guidance of Ziad Bahaa-Eldin have been great partners throughout the process, proactively taking care of all existing and potential issues, from the strategic to the more operational ones, ensuring a smooth execution of the deal. Always approachable, fast in addressing problems and effective communication. I’d recommend each one of them to any company seeking to invest in Egypt.’
‘Having worked mainly with 3 senior associates, I find their professionalism and personal attention to our case outstanding. Compared to other firms, they can advise us on complex matters clearly and concisely, backed up by law but still with a strong link to the practice.’
‘The team holds strong knowledge in the capital market practices both from a legal and practical perspective which is not necessarily present in other firms.’
‘Always available, engaged, aware of the unusual circumstances and highly responsive. ’
‘In comparison to other counsel in Egypt, Ziad Bahaa Eldin and Rana El Kahwagy truly have unparalleled understanding, depth and especially realism when advising our team on matters in Egypt. Their instincts are solid, and they manage to maintain strong ties with our government counterparts, seen as a source of subject matter expertise while maintaining their neutrality.’
‘Compared to other law firms we have dealt with, the BLO Team demonstrates a high level of knowledge, capabilities and experience in their field. They are fast responders and are always accurate in the information and advice they provide to us.’
‘They are customer-oriented and are positioned as real partners. They go the extra mile in the support and services that they provide to their clients, over and above what is in a signed agreement. Work highlights
- Advising and assisting “Ariston Holding N.V.” in relation to the acquisition of major a home appliances plant in Egypt. The mandate includes conducting due diligence exercises, preparing transaction documentation and assisting in the completion of the transaction.
- Providing general legal advice to “Mena Glass Holding Limited” on a competition law matter and representing the client before the Egyptian Competition Authority to ensure the non-applicability of the new merger control regime to the transaction.
- Advising the “Central Bank of Egypt” with respect to a potential acquisition of the Export Credit Guarantee of Egypt by the Central Bank of Egypt. This is particularly important considering that this is potentially the CBE’s first acquisition and is particularly complex considering the legislative and regulatory hurdles being considered.
