Career
Gianfranco Lotito is a partner in the litigation and arbitration practice and has been in legal practice since 2006.
He specialises in Chilean and international court and arbitration proceedings. He is also an expert in resolving disputes arising from buying and selling shares and transferable securities, and companies (representations and warranties); construction and infrastructure; and agencies and distribution.
He represents clients in judicial investigations and court injunctions brought by national and foreign agencies relating to securities; and advises on matters relating to free competition, corporate compliance and anti-corruption, and on reorganisation and insolvency proceedings
Mr. Lotito is a member of the Chilean Bar Association. He speaks at conferences and seminars on arbitration and litigation.

The disputes department also acts in matters involving services contracts, M&A, joint ventures, agencies, commercial distribution, and conflicts between shareholders and companies. Beyond Chile, the firm is additionally notably active in the wider Latin American region. The department is co-led by international arbitration, litigation and alternative dispute resolution specialist Cristián Conejero, a former ICC Secretariat Counsel for Latin America who is sought out by company clients to act in both commercial and investment arbitrations; and international arbitration and alternative dispute resolution practitioner Juan Manuel Rey, who ‘has a lot of experience in arbitration’, and represents clients in disputes concerning construction and infrastructure contracts, M&A, concessions, share agreements, and power purchase contracts.
