Career

Diarmuid practises as a litigation dispute lawyer, employment lawyer and a specialised healthcare lawyer. He is a CEDR accredited mediator and focuses on early intervention to avoid or resolve potential claims at an early stage to avoid unnecessary costs and expenses

As a litigator, he advises many State Bodies and their indemnifiers and many national and international insurers in areas of employers’ liability, public liability, maritime and property claims.

In his role as employment lawyer, Diarmuid has featured in prominent and ground-breaking cases before the Labour Court, Employment Appeals Tribunal, Equality Tribunal, Rights Commissioner and the High Court and Circuit Court. He has advised many employers in the public and private sector on the policies and procedures required to comply with the myriad of legislative obligations imposed by statute and regulations.
