Career

Jens Hjortskov specialises in real estate and construction.

Jens is highly skilled and a popular legal adviser when it comes to all aspects of real estate, project development and construction. He is particularly experienced in rendering advice in the cross field between construction and procurement law and has assisted in the planning and execution of tender procedures involving several large building and construction projects. A substantial element of the advisory services is the tender strategy, ensuring that the tender procedure is tailored to fit the market and customer needs.

Jens is also highly experienced drafting and negotiating construction contracts, safeguarding the customer’s specific interests without compromising on a balanced contract, ultimately providing the best outcome for all parties involved in the process.

Jens also advises several general housing organisations.

Using his many years of experience in this field, Jens has a distinct ability to swiftly understand the complexity and the technical issues of the cases he works on.

Jens is highly experienced in conducting arbitration proceedings before the Danish Building and Construction Arbitration Board.

For many years, Jens has worked with project development and the purchase and sale of real estate.

Besides practising law, Jens has been an external lecturer on property law at the University of Copenhagen for several years. He is presently project manager and teacher at training courses in JUC’s Building and Construction Network, and he also frequently teaches clients and business partners topics of current interest, primarily within construction law.

In 2018 Jens completed the Mediator Training Course with a Construction Theme provided by the Association of Danish Law Firms.
