Filipe is a partner in the Corporate M&A practice and has 20 years’ experience as a lawyer. His main areas of activity include mergers and acquisitions, venture capital operations, public-private partnerships, concessions and corporate restructuring.
He has extensive experience in M&A operations (due diligence, negotiation and closing), and in the services and infrastructure concessions sector. In this sector, he has advised public entities, private promoters and construction companies.
Filipe is a member of the International Association of Lawyers (UIA) and member of the board of the UIA’s Portuguese Committee. He is also a member of the board of the Porto Commercial Association.
He was trainer at the Portuguese Bar Association and at the Faculty of Law of Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Porto. Before joining PLMJ, Filipe was a lawyer at Cuatrecasas for 10 years. He has also worked as a lawyer in Macau.
Filipe has a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University Coimbra and a postgraduate in European studies from the same faculty.
