Q: What date is the Legal 500 Southeast Asia Awards 2026 and where are they being held?
A: Thursday 30 April | JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach, 30 Beach Road, Access via Nicoll Highway, Singapore 189763.
Q: What are the timings?
A: The event will commence with a welcome reception at 6:30pm, followed by a banquet dinner and awards presentation at 7:50pm, networking drinks at 10:50pm, event concludes at 11:30pm.
Q: When will I hear if I have been successful and made the shortlists?
A: Legal 500 will notify sets of the categories for which they have been shortlisted at the end of March 2026.
Q: What is the dress code for the evening?
A: Black tie.
Q: How are the shortlists compiled?
A: Shortlists are compiled using a combination of Legal 500’s independent research and Mondaq’s community-led judging process.
Legal 500 methodology: For nearly four decades, Legal 500 has analysed the capabilities of law firms and legal professionals around the world through a comprehensive research programme that is reviewed and updated annually. Its research is based on feedback from more than 300,000 clients globally, detailed submissions from law firms, and interviews with leading private practice and in-house lawyers, all conducted by a team of experienced researchers with deep knowledge of the legal market.
Mondaq methodology: In parallel, Mondaq recognises outstanding in-house counsel through a community-judged process. Nominations and feedback from Mondaq’s global community of in-house counsel and legal professionals help identify individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, influence and impact within their organisations and the wider legal sector.
Q: When will I hear if I have been successful and made the shortlists?
A: Legal 500 will notify sets of the categories for which they have been shortlisted at the end of February 2026.
Q: Can I book a table before the shortlist is announced?
A: Absolutely.
Q: Should I book a table even if I do not know all guest names yet?
A: Definitely – Capacity is limited, so it is vital you book your space and return the table booking form early to avoid disappointment. Actual guest names may be supplied at a later stage.
Q: When is the latest I can supply guest names?
A: Please can you send all guest names to [email protected]m no later than 9 April 2026. This is to ensure that all guests are included on the seating plans for the event, and will avoid confusion for your guests in locating their table on the night.
We are also required to inform the hotel of all guest names for security reasons in advance of the event.
Q: Is wine included with the table booking?
A: We provide our choice of red and white wine, as well as still and sparkling water, throughout the meal and awards ceremony. However, should you wish to order alternative wines or other beverages, you will be able to do so on the night.
Q: What if I have a specific dietary requirement?
A: JW Marriott Hotel Singapore is superbly equipped to handle the vast majority of dietary requirements, provided these are notified to us in advance of the event.
Please can you ensure that when you supply us with guest names, you also include any special dietary requirements in your email. These should all be sent to: [email protected]m no later than 9 April 2026.
Q: Do you provide invitations for Law Firms/Sponsors to send out to their guests?
A: We do not produce invitations for firms/sponsors to send out as we leave it to each table host’s discretion as to who and how they wish to invite their guests. All we ask is that you supply us with guest names as directed and for the reasons above before the event itself.
