Southeast Asia Awards 2026

Legal 500 in partnership with Mondaq and In-House Counsel Worldwide (ICW) are delighted to return to Singapore to celebrate Southeast Asia’s leading law firms, lawyers, and outstanding in-house counsel, whose expertise continues to drive the region’s most prominent industries and corporations.
After several years of macroeconomic uncertainty, Southeast Asia has shown remarkable resilience, supported by sustained inward investment, active projects, strong energy markets, continued manufacturing growth, and improving capital markets. In 2024, the region recorded a combined GDP of nearly USD 4 trillion and growth of 4.6%, with forecasts pointing to 4.7% growth in 2025.

Singapore continues to solidify its role as a regional hub for data centres and international arbitration, while Indonesia remains a top performer in both the G20 and ASEAN, driven by the energy transition, digitisation, and infrastructure investment. Malaysia is seeing robust activity across sectors including semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, AI, and biotechnology, while the Philippines’ digital infrastructure market continues to expand rapidly. Across Southeast Asia, both local and international firms play a central role in driving the region’s growth and transformation.

The awards also recognise excellence among in-house teams. The In-House categories highlight corporate legal departments and individual general counsel whose leadership, strategic insight, and contributions drive innovation, strengthen governance, and support business growth across the region. Nominations are assessed on demonstrated impact, effectiveness, and thought leadership, ensuring the awards reflect both legal and business excellence.

Nominations and winners are determined through independent research conducted by Legal 500 and Mondaq, covering full-service, boutique, local, and global firms, each demonstrating unique strengths and market positioning. Winners are selected by a judging panel with deep expertise across jurisdictions and practice areas.

The awards evening, hosted by Legal 500 in partnership with Mondaq and ICW, will bring together leading legal professionals from across the region, offering a unique opportunity to celebrate Southeast Asia’s diversity, its markets, and the key factors supporting its sustained growth.
