Kypros Ioannides, partner, Hadjianastassiou, Ioannides LLC

Kypros Ioannides is a partner of Hadjianastassiou, Ioannides LLC (HiLLC), where he heads the firm’s Corporate and M&A practice. He advises clients on complex commercial litigation, regulatory and white-collar investigations, and cross-border disputes, and regularly acts in matters involving regulatory scrutiny and high-stakes risk exposure. Kypros has extensive experience working with boards, senior executives and in-house legal teams, and frequently coordinates with external advisers in sensitive and time-critical situations.


Dr. Constantinos Adamides, associate professor, University of Nicosia

Dr. Constantinos Adamides is an Associate Professor of International Relations and Head of the Department of Politics and Governance at the University of Nicosia, and former Director of the Diplomatic Academy (2014–2025). He currently serves on the Executive Academic Board of the European Security and Defence College. In addition to his academic work, Dr. Adamides regularly advises public authorities and international stakeholders on hybrid threats and disinformation—issues increasingly affecting corporations, critical infrastructure operators and regulated businesses. His expertise includes analysing and responding to cyber-enabled crises, coordinated information attacks, AI-driven disinformation, and broader geopolitical risks with direct operational, regulatory and reputational implications for organisations. He was a member of the Republic of Cyprus’ first Geostrategic Council (2014–2018), bringing a strategic perspective on decision-making under pressure and cross-functional crisis response relevant to senior legal and risk leaders.


Nayia Ziourti, founder and executive director, Perpetuals.com

Nayia Ziourti is a regulatory lawyer specialising in financial services, with over 12 years’ experience spanning senior roles at the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) and private practice. She has advised investment firms, asset managers and credit institutions across the EU on regulatory compliance, risk identification and crisis preparedness, with particular insight into navigating regulatory scrutiny during periods of market stress. Nayia was closely involved in EU-level legislative developments, including MiFID II, as a national expert to the EU Council and a member of ESMA’s Task Force on ICOs and Virtual Currencies. She later served as General Counsel of FTX Europe, bringing first-hand experience of legal leadership and decision-making in high-pressure, complex regulatory environments during times of crisis. She is currently a Founder and Executive Director of Perpetuals.com, a financial markets startup operating a Multilateral Trading Facility.


Yiannis Ioannides, partner, cyber risk services, Deloitte

Yiannis Ioannides is a Partner in Cyber Risk Services at Deloitte, within the Risk Advisory practice, specialising in cyber incident response and adversarial security. He advises organisations across multiple industries in Cyprus and internationally on preparing for, responding to, and recovering from cyber incidents, including data breaches, ransomware attacks and advanced persistent threats. Yiannis leads complex engagements involving penetration testing, red teaming and crisis-driven cyber response, working closely with legal, compliance and executive teams to contain risk, preserve evidence and manage regulatory and reputational exposure. He holds multiple professional certifications in offensive security, cyber auditing and internal controls, and combines deep technical expertise with an MBA-driven understanding of business and board-level risk management.


Helen Michaelou, general counsel, Tickmill

Helen Michaelou is a senior leader with extensive experience working closely with financial institutions on complex legal, regulatory and strategic matters. She is recognized for her ability to bridge commercial objectives with legal and risk considerations, supporting firms in navigating evolving regulatory landscapes. Currently, the general counsel at Tickmill, Helen is known for her measured judgment, trusted relationships, and pragmatic approach to risk and decision making.


Angeliki Kappatou, general counsel, Celestyal Cruises

Angeliki Kappatou is a general counsel with over a decade of experience within the shipping sector. Currently, a general counsel at Celestyal Cruises, a major cruising company in the Eastern Mediterranean, providing expert and strategic legal advice to the Executive Board as well as Top Management on all high-level strategic projects and business plans of the company. Angeliki has a strong business acumen and possesses both a commercial and rational outlook as an in-house general counsel, providing practical and cost-effective business solutions. She has global experience within multicultural environments and has worked in New York, Greece and Cyprus. She holds an LLB in European law with Spanish from the Coventry University, in the UK, an LLB in Greek Law from the National and Kapodistrian University in Athens, Greece and an LLM in Commercial and Maritime Law from University of Wales, Swansea and has been certified as an Information Privacy Manager (CIPM)- IAPP. Currently, she is a member of ACC Europe, IAPP and WISTA.


Andrea Kallis, partner, Elias Neocleous & Co LLC

Andrea is a partner of the firm in the Corporate and Commercial and Banking and Finance departments of Elias Neocleous & Co LLC, dealing mostly with international clients and transactions involving entities with foreign interest. Andrea advises on matters relating to commercial laws, employment policies restructurings and reorganisations, corporate governance and structures, electronic communication services, global insurance matrixes and contract drafting. Andrea has worked closely with international firms to advise on regulatory and technical matters. Andrea has been involved in the due diligence of high-profile acquisitions as well as acting as counsel for bidding teams in procurement ventures. Andrea is also the primary representative of the Employment Law Alliance in Cyprus and is a member of the Technology Committee of the Cyprus Bar Association.


Emilios Charalambous, associate lawyer, Elias Neocleous & Co LLC

Emilios is an Associate Lawyer at the Corporate & Commercial and Technology Departments of Elias Neocleous & Co LLC, certified with the Cyprus Exchange and Securities Commission (CySEC) Advanced Certificate and CySEC AML Certificate and Google’s Project Management Professional Certificate.

He is actively working on commercial transactions, administration of companies and liquidation of various entities, supporting clients with their regulatory compliance while advising on corporate matters.


Alexey Drobyshev, deputy chief legal officer, Sumsub

Alexey is a senior in-house lawyer with primary specialisms in dispute resolution, cross-border jurisdictional structuring and risk management, sanctions compliance, and crisis response. At Sumsub, Alexey is responsible for these areas as well as for supporting law enforcement investigations, international employment compliance and the management of the group’s intellectual property portfolio. He previously dealt with infrastructural and technological investment structures for outbound and inbound international investment, including joint ventures, transfer of technologies and financial investment. Alexey’s background includes international structuring and risk management in private practice, pharmaceuticals and information technology industries. Alexey is a member of ACC Europe and a CIArb Fellow.


Rafaella Charalampous, senior legal counsel, Pepperstone EU Limited

Rafaella is an experienced in-house legal professional in the financial services sector. She has held senior roles including AML Director, Legal Counsel, and Executive Director of a Cyprus Investment Firm (CIF), and has served as a member of a Risk Management Committee. Her expertise focuses on regulatory strategy and licensing complex structures, AML frameworks, and in-house legal matters for regulated financial services providers. Rafaella holds a law degree and is a Professional Member of the International Compliance Association (MICA member). She currently works as an in-house lawyer at Pepperstone and serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Pepperstone EU Limited.
