Event Report

Legal 500 was delighted to once again return to Leeds for the fourth Legal 500 Northern Powerhouse Awards, recognising standout lawyers, teams, general counsel and firms throughout Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool and Newcastle, and the rest of the Northern region.

The event was held at the Royal Armouries Museum on 12th March 2026 and saw nearly 400 attendees come together for an evening of celebration and recognition.

Highlights of the night included:

· Hill Dickinson taking home the Law Firm of the Year prize

· Elizabeth Cartwright of Eversheds Sutherland being named Lawyer of the Year

· Jeanette Burgess of Walker Morris winning Management Partner of the Year

· Gateley Legal being awarded Deal of the Year

· Centrefield winning Boutique of the Year

· Leigh Day taking home the inaugural award for Client Service Excellence

Grounded in Legal 500’s independent research and in-depth market insight, the awards continue to provide a credible and impartial benchmark of excellence across the legal sector throughout the north of the UK.
