James graduated with a BA (Hons) in History from the University of Sussex, before spending six years writing and teaching in Mexico and Spain, after which he moved to the Netherlands where he gained his Journalism MA from the University of Groningen. Before joining The Legal 500, James worked as a freelance writer with a particular interest in film and popular culture, as well as wildlife, exploration, politics and satire. When not pursuing his love of travelling, James occupies his free time as a keen cyclist, theatre frequenter, insatiable film fanatic, and passionate creative writer.
