Due to the project&#8217;s time frames, and the need to evict commercial occupational tenants, it needed to happen asap\u2019<\/p>\n<\/p>\n                \n               \n      <h2 class=\"tab-listing\" id=\"verdict\">The Lex 100 verdict on <span class=\"highlight-firm\">Birketts<\/span><\/h2>\n       \n        \n      \n             \n        <p>    \n\t<p>Birketts is widely seen by its trainees as \u201cthe best firm for my that offers a wide span of seat rotations.\u201d The firm strikes a balance between being a \u201ctop 50 full-service firm with a regional feel\u201d and one that is \u201crapidly expanding,\u201d having recently surpassed \u00a3100m turnover and opened offices in London, Sevenoaks, and Bristol. This growth excites trainees, who see \u201cthe possibility of growing with the firm\u201d and perhaps even \u201ctaking on more responsibility earlier than expected.\u201d Location and lifestyle are also big draws, with recruits citing the \u201cregional nature but clear growth,\u201d \u201clocality, work-life balance, career trajectory,\u201d and the chance to \u201cenjoy the regional lifestyle and work-life balance\u201d without missing out on quality work. The training experience compares favourably with peers elsewhere. Trainees highlight \u201cmuch more responsibility and actual legal work than my peers in London firms,\u201d alongside a \u201cmuch better work-life balance.\u201d One summed it up neatly: \u201cI have much more responsibility compared to peers, more freedom and am respected as a contributor rather than just a \u2018trainee\u2019.\u201d Support is also emphasised: \u201cAt Birketts there is a supportive culture: my supervisors have always been highly approachable, and I never feel like a nuisance if I need to ask for help.\u201d The firm culture is the most repeated theme. Trainees point to the \u201cattitude to being yourself and the friendliness of the people at all levels,\u201d describing Birketts as \u201ca large firm with a small-firm culture.\u201d This supportive environment extends to mentoring, client exposure, and business development opportunities, with trainees even being given \u201cmatters in your own name.\u201d That said, challenges remain.
