We sent The Lex 100 Pupil Barrister survey to pupils and juniors up to two years in tenancy at Henderson Chambers. Here is what they had to say:

Why did you choose these chambers over any others? 

‘I came here to do my third six’, ‘interesting work and friendly people’ 

How does your training compare with what you have heard from pupils at other chambers? 

‘I did a 12-month pupillage elsewhere. Henderson was markedly better – clear goals, clear feedback, I knew on a weekly basis how I was doing’ 

What is the best thing about the chambers? 

‘Colleagues’, ‘the people’ 

What is the worst thing about the chambers? 

‘Junior end non-led work can be repetitive and no female silks’ 

What has been the best moment of your training to date? 

‘Realising I had joined a chambers with genuinely great people’  

What has been the worst moment of your training to date? 

‘Getting bad feedback on assessed work and worrying I would not get tenancy’ 

How do you find your chambers’ pro bono and CSR offering? 

‘Good – pro bono is supported and encouraged’
