Position

Regularly instructed to defend and prosecute in criminal cases as well as in public law children matters. Meena also has experience in representing children in the Youth Court.

Career

Called to the Bar 2017; Lincoln’s Inn. Prior to practicing at the Bar, Meena was an employed case worker in the childcare department at Duncan Lewis Solicitors.

During this time Meena assisted on a wide range of complex children matters before the High Court and the Court of Appeal, including A Local Authority v X and others [2018] EWHC 874 (Fam) and Re X (A Child)(FGMPO) [2018] EWCA Civ 1825.

She also volunteered with Chrysalis Women’s Aid to assist domestic violence victims in obtaining occupation and non-molestation orders.
