Isabel’s busy common law and commercial practice focuses on professional negligence, product liability, property damage, and travel and jurisdiction. Isabel has appeared in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.
Isabel is regularly instructed in relation to a wide variety of professions. Recent cases include a multi-million pound claim against receivers; a million pound claim in deceit and negligence against building inspectors; Instant Access v Rosser (£35m claim against tax advisers); a multi-million pound claim against a barrister; and Mehjoo v Harben Barker (accountants’ negligence).
Isabel acts for both claimants and defendants in product liability. Notable cases include Allen v Depuy (concerning the applicable law and territorial scope of the Consumer Protection Act 1987), and have involved a broad range of products, including components of a nuclear fusion reactor.
Isabel’s property damage practice comprises matters arising from fires, floods, product liability, negligence of construction professionals, and claims involving nuisance.
