Barrister with a practice covering all areas of Chancery work, divided between non-contentious work and litigation. He focuses particularly on: probate, estates, family provision, trusts, personal taxation, real property, landlord and tenant, and related professional negligence. He regularly acts in Court of Protection matters and has appeared in a number of applications under the Variation of Trusts Act 1958 including: Brudenell-Bruce v Moore and Cotton  EWHC 1024 (Ch) (ownership of paintings and the self-dealing rule); Re S & S  1 WLR 1082 (appointment of a deputy for property and affairs); Ashcroft v Barnsdale  EWHC 1948 (rectification of a deed of variation); Martin v Nicholson  WTLR 175 (rectification of a deed of variation).
