Gregory’s practice focuses on commercial and chancery litigation. He has particular experience in company law matters (including shareholder disputes and proceedings brought by liquidators), banking and financial products/derivatives litigation, civil fraud, trusts and other offshore disputes, and insolvency proceedings.  Notable recent cases include FSHC Group Holdings Ltd v Barclays Bank plc [2019] EWCA Civ 1361, BNY Mellon Corporate Trustee Services Ltd v LBG Capital No 1 plc [2016] UKSC 29, Napier Park European Credit Opportunities Fund Limited v Harbourmaster Pro-rata CLO 2 BV [2014] EWCA Civ 984 and US Bank Trustees Ltd v Titan Europe 2007-1 (NHP) Ltd [2014] EWHC 1189 (Ch) (disputes concerning the construction of structured finance documentation), Benedetti v Sawiris & others [2013] UKSC 50 (quantum meruit and unjust enrichment), McKillen v Misland & others [2013] EWCA Civ 781 (shareholder dispute in relation to the ownership of the holding company of Claridge’s, the Connaught and The Berkeley hotels). He has also acted in a number of insurance business transfer schemes under Part VII of FSMA.
