Edward specialises in commercial and company litigation and arbitration. Edward’s work frequently involves an international element and he has experience of litigation on and off-shore.
Examples of recent cases Edward has been involved in include: a $1bn off-shore claim (Bermuda – assisting John Brisby QC); arbitration claims in Singapore, Dubai and Mauritius; various contentious company law matters involving unfair prejudice petitions, derivative claims, breaches of directors’ duties and other such matters; the second biggest bankruptcy in English legal history; cross-border mergers, schemes of arrangement and reductions of capital.
Before coming to the Bar, Edward read for a degree in law at St John’s College, Cambridge and for the BCL, a masters in law, at Christ Church, Oxford. After completing his degrees, Edward taught contract law part time at St John’s College, Cambridge, while completing his professional qualifications.
