Call : 2021

Diana joined Chambers in April 2022 following the successful completion of her pupillage under Julia Belyavin and Zoë Saunders. Diana has a busy practice in children proceedings in both private and public law matters. She also accepts instructions on injunction applications under the Family Law Act 1996.

Diana regularly represents parents, grandparents, local authorities, guardians and NYAS. She has experience in cases involving substance misuse, mental health, serious allegations of domestic abuse, neglect, parental alienation, and children with complex additional needs. She is often instructed to represent vulnerable clients, including those with learning needs requiring an intermediary.

Diana is a contributor to the Family Law Week website.

Prior to commencing pupillage, Diana volunteered with her university’s Human Rights Implementation Centre undertaking extensive research surrounding the development of the rights of LGBT children. She was also a legal advisor at her university’s Law Clinic and volunteered with Lawyers Without Borders to produce training resources for the Namibian judiciary and police on addressing gender-based violence. Her LLM dissertation was a critical analysis of the extent to which family courts in England and Wales can effectively protect potential child victims of FGM, including those with precarious immigration status.
