Jeremy Weston is Queen’s Counsel specialising in all aspects of Family law.


Jeremy is the Head of St Ives Chambers, Head of Family Team and is a Member of the Parole Board.

He represents local authorities, parents and children (via Children's Guardians) at first instance and appellate level.

He is well attuned to the needs of the client and is highly regarded for his approachable and personable manner, including his capacity to explain complex issues clearly.

Jeremy is a Family Law Recorder (South Eastern Circuit) 2018.

In 2018, he was awarded 'Barrister of the Year' by Birmingham Law Society.

Jeremy Weston is Queen’s Counsel specialising in all aspects of Family law. He has enormous experience in cases involving complex medical issues and the cross examination of experts.

Jeremy has expertise in the most complex of care and adoption proceedings cases:

  • Sexual abuse (including acting for children both as victims and alleged perpetrators)

Jeremy Regularly lectures on all aspects of child law and is often invited as a speaker for Jordans.

Jeremy provided Court Work Skills training to 14 local authorities in 2011 as part of the West Midlands Social Work Retention Project (funded by the Government Office).
