Richard’s fields of practice are: Crime, Fraud, Civil Litigation, Licensing and Gaming, Professional Discipline and Regulatory, Public and Administrative law, Inquests, VAT and Tax Tribunals.
Currently engaged: defending a Police Commissioner charged with election fraud; UK’s largest organized-benefits fraud; a private equity fund partnership dispute in the High Court; for the claimant in an unfair prejudice petition in the commercial court; in a civil bitcoin/tax fraud; conducting a private prosecution for investor-fraud; terrorism appeals (including instructed at the request of the Vice-President by the Registrar); judicial review for Briggs Price (heroin smuggling); murder; conspiracy to murder; money-laundering; directors disqualification. In the recent past: commended by the Home Secretary for prosecuting people trafficking cases; awarded crime junior of the year.
