Career

Thaiza joined Six Pump Court after successful completion of her pupillage. She undertakes work across all areas of chambers’ specialisms and has a growing common law practice, encompassing criminal, civil and family law. Thaiza was called to the Bar in 2006 and was awarded the Sir Thomas More scholarship by Lincoln’s Inn. Before commencing practice at the Bar, Thaiza worked at an international city firm, involved in the implementation of their pro bono policy. She worked with a variety of charities and social enterprises in the field of corporate and social responsibility. Thaiza has been involved in a number of pro bono initiatives, including legal support and representation for victims of sexual abuse and human trafficking as well as representing victims of domestic violence to obtain injunctions at the Principal Registry of the Family Division. During pupilage Thaiza gained experience in variety of areas of law, including advising on planning enforcement, environmental and Regulatory law and regularly appears at County courts, Magistrates’ and Crown courts, both prosecuting and defending.
