Ben Caswell has specialised in personal injury, fatal accidents, health & safety and all associated proceedings since 2000. He predominantly undertakes claimant work involving employer’s liability and local authority public liability (including all aspects of highway litigation and road traffic cases).

Ben regularly advises and represents individual and corporate clients in such cases in the magistrates’ courts, county courts, the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority, the First-Tier Tribunal, coroners’ courts, the High Court and the Court of Appeal. His practice varies between complex fast-track (when specifically instructed) to complex multi-track cases, both in the county court and the High Court.

His caseload includes cases of a catastrophic nature, including fatal accidents. Ben has a special interest in, and specialises in, cases involving personal injuries in schools.

Ben Caswell has specialised in property and commercial law since 2000. In particular, he undertakes work involving residential and commercial property transfer, landlord and tenant litigation, possession actions, boundary disputes, and rights of way.

He is also widely experienced in probate and intestacy litigation, including applications under the Inheritance Act 1975.

Ben Caswell specialises in coronial and immigration law. Ben has been a specialist in all aspects of immigration law since 2000. He has extensive experience of immigration cases involving individual asylum appeals, family settlement appeals, deportation appeals and EEA rights appeals, and has regularly appeared at immigration tribunals throughout the United Kingdom. He has a particular interest in, and specialises in, cases involving appeals by employers against civil penalty notices levied for alleged employment of workers without immigration status.
