Mary specialises in public law, primarily immigration and human rights. She provides advice and advocacy in all aspects of immigration and asylum. She appears regularly for the Secretary of State for the Home Department.

In 2015 Mary was appointed to the ‘B’ Panel of treasury civil counsel extended to 2023 (for time away from the Bar to have a family), having previously been appointed to the C Panel in 2009.
