Career

Laura is a Partner in our Litigation team.  She undertakes a wide range of instructions on behalf of individual clients and other solicitors from throughout Scotland, in a variety of areas including judicial review, personal injury, medical negligence and commercial actions.

Laura has developed a niche practice within the firm dealing with all types of judicial review (excluding immigration) and has been involved in various cutting edge litigations including the Scottish end of the judicial review of the same roof policy adopted by the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority which ended up in the Supreme Court.  She has also been involved in numerous prison law judicial reviews shaping that area of the law over the years.

With her expert knowledge of the Court of Session rules clients and other solicitors alike benefit from Laura being on board in their cases.  She is renowned for dealing with cases quickly, efficiently, and with least fuss. 

The highlight of Laura’s career thus far has been successfully pursuing, and retaining at appeal, a complex Court of Session birth damage case, securing a multimillion pound sum of compensation for the pursuer and his family. 

In each and every case that Laura works on she strives to achieve the best result to make a difference for each individual client.
