Frances has extensive experience in all matters relating to children both public and private. She has been sitting as a DDJ since 2013 in civil, private and public family cases across the London and the southeast.

She has particular expertise in complex and serious care and inherent jurisdiction cases involving death and NAI, disability, domestic violence, forced marriage, trafficking, and religious disputes.

She has an excellent knowledge of medical issues and gets to grips with complex voluminous documentation quickly. She has undertaken several high profile cases involving ceiling of care/ treatment issues.

She has experience and expertise in private law cases especially relocation cases and has particular knowledge involving disputes about religious upbringing.

She is instructed at all levels on behalf of all parties in public and private law cases. She also undertakes direct access in appropriate cases

She is regularly instructed by the Cafcass High Court team and also acts for young people without a Guardian.

She is known for being robust and succinct in court whilst being insightful and empathetic to her clients. She is tenacious and diligent.
