Position

Chancery barrister with particular emphasis on charities, the Court of Protection, companies and other associations, insolvency (including directors’ disqualification and bankruptcy restrictions orders), trusts, wills, probate and estates.  He regularly appears before the judges, masters and registrars of the Chancery Division of the High Court, in the Court of Protection and in the County Court. He also represents clients in the tribunal system.  He is a member of the Bar of England and Wales and the Bar of Northern Ireland.

Notable cases include: King v. Dubrey [2016] Ch 221; Bank of Beirut SAL v. Prince El-Hashemite [2016] Ch 1; Hope v. Ireland [2015] BPIR 344; Spencer Michael v. Official Receiver [2014] EWCA Civ 1590; Executive Jet Support Limited v. The Serious Organised Crime Agency [2013] 1 WLR 1433; R. (Independent Schools Council) v. The Charity Commission for England and Wales [2012] Ch 214; Allis and another v. Career

Called 2001.  Barrister member, Council of the Inns of Court Disciplinary Tribunal (2009-2013). Junior Counsel to the Crown (HM Attorney General's ‘A’ Panel (2016-); ‘B’ Panel (2011-2016); ‘C’ Panel (2008-2011)). Deputy Registrar in Bankruptcy of the High Court (2016-).
