Mozammel Hossain has been described by the Court of Appeal as an advocate of ‘great eloquence’. He defends in all types of serious crime. Regularly instructed in cases involving human rights law, both his peers and clients refer to him as ‘a very powerful advocate’. Cases have included: Operation Movie , terrorism; R v H , terrorism; Operation Gadia , rape; R v P & ors , conspiracy to cause GBH; R v A & anor , terrorism, instructed as leading counsel; Operation VEX , MTIC fraud; Lescinskas , successful appeal re ‘Nazi style’ salutes at 2012 London Olympics; R v FR & ors , conspiracy to steal, the ‘Watford Co-operative bank bomb siege case’; Operation Langwood , as leading counsel, multiple conspiracies to supply heroin and cocaine across the country; R v U & ors , ‘Cisco’ fraud; Operation Scarp , ‘cash for cash’ fraud; R v K & ors , ‘car ringing’ fraud; R v Iqbal & ors, terrorism, the ‘Blackburn resistance case’; R v A , attempted murder; R v S & anor , conspiracy to rape; Operation Exhort , ‘cash for cash’ fraud; R v C & ors , kidnapping and blackmail by Triad; R v Lusha , terrorism; R v JA & ors , conspiracy to murder. Mozammel Hossain has been invited by the BBC to speak as an expert- most recently he spoke on Radio 5 Live.
