Position

Sandra has a broad commercial practice with particular focus on shipping, international trade, energy, insurance and international arbitration. Sandra regularly appears as an advocate in the Commercial Court, the chancery division of the High Court and in arbitration. Sandra has experience acting as sole advocate, with leading counsel and as part of larger legal teams. Recent work in the energy sector includes a high-value gas field dispute with issues relating to upstream matters such as field evaluation and downstream matters such as market economics and forecasting. Recent shipping and trade work includes a wide range of charterparty and sale of goods disputes arising against the backdrop of recent market fluctuations. Many of Sandra’s cases involve jurisdiction issues and interim relief. She particularly enjoys working on these cases and has been instructed to appear in a number of jurisdiction challenge, anti-suit injunction and freezing injunction hearings.
