Sahil prosecutes and defends in a range of criminal matters. He has experience of cases concerning offences of violence and dishonesty, drugs offences, road traffic offences and sexual offences. He is instructed in the Youth, Magistrates’ and Crown Courts and has represented individuals in confiscation hearings and in hearings concerning Criminal Behaviour Orders. Sahil has represented a number of vulnerable clients with learning difficulties and mental health conditions, and has experience of instructing and examining medical experts.

Sahil prosecutes for the Crown Prosecution Service (Grade 1), and has also acted for the National Probation Service, Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner, and the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority. Sahil was recently instructed by the CPS as second led junior in a long-running prosecution of conspiracy to commit murder.

Sahil has experience of conducting investigative and disclosure reviews, working with sensitive material, and claiming public interest immunity. He has been instructed by the CPS to manage and conduct large scale disclosure reviews, including significant quantities of material held by a variety of agencies. Prior to coming to chambers, Sahil planned and led an investigative review into materials relating to alleged foreign exchange manipulation. Sahil is currently instructed as Disclosure Junior in an appeal against two convictions for conspiracy to commit murder.

Sahil advises on appeals against sentence and conviction.
