Position

A confident, tenacious and likeable advocate, Caroline Baker has defended and prosecuted in a wide range of criminal matters. She is instructed regularly in cases involving Serious Violence, Fraud, Drugs Offences as well as Restraint, Civil Recovery & Confiscation and Money Laundering & Proceeds of Crime matters.

She has experience in international law, investigating, documenting and analysing historic war crimes and current human rights abuses, focusing on sexual violence and torture.

Caroline is regularly instructed on behalf of defendants who are vulnerable by virtue of age, mental health or cognitive ability. Her easy and straightforward approach provides reassurance at each stage of the process.

Before being called to the Bar she worked as a paralegal at Lawrence & Co. solicitors. While at this firm she represented clients at the police station for the full spectrum of criminal offences.
