Position

Ed Vickers QC is described as having “a first-class legal mind allied to a very charming and persuasive style”.

Since taking silk in 2017, Ed has been instructed in numerous cases of murder, organised crime and financial crime. His skill in cross examination, dealing with experts and analysing detail has led to a growing white-collar crime practice. He advises companies and individuals involved in business, tax and complex fraud investigations and will provide advice at an early stage on strategic decisions involving matters such as voluntary disclosure, Legal Professional Privilege and confidentiality.

Ed has appeared in many high profile cases particularly at the Old Bailey and Southwark Crown Courts, and regularly takes cases on appeal to the High Court and Court of Appeal. Since becoming an associate tenant at Citadel Chambers, Birmingham, Ed has a busy practice in the Midlands, particularly in murder cases.

Ed is a lead advocacy trainer for the ICCA; a member of the Scholarship panel at the Middle Temple; and a Trustee of the Kalisher Trust, a charity that encourages and supports students from non-traditional backgrounds to go on to higher education and pursue a career in law, promoting greater diversity at the Bar.
