Career

William was called in 2022 in England and became a tenant at Whitestone Chambers in 2023, having been supervised during his pupillage by Lawrence Power and Mina Heung.

William accepts instructions in Chambers’ key areas of Commercial and Aviation Law

William has developed a busy court practice, appearing on a regular basis in the County Court in matters relating to Chambers’ specialism of Aviation Law. He accepts instructions in small claims, fast track trials and interim applications.

Recent work includes a successful application to set aside Default Judgment entered against a major UK based airline and work during pupillage on a High Court trial dealing with the application of the Bills of Exchange Act 1882 to the UK regulatory regime for gambling. William also has experience dealing with non-contentious advice, for example on the application of the Commercial Rent (Coronavirus) Act 2022.

Aviation:

William accepts instructions from airlines in the areas of flight delay, baggage claims, personal injury in an aviation context and insurance claims. William has experience dealing with litigants in person and has secured costs awards against litigants who have advanced cases against airlines which have no legal merit and unreasonably opposed applications.

William accepts court and paperwork in the following areas:

  1. Denied boarding claims.
  2. Delayed flight claims.
  3. Carriage by air disputes involving Regulation EC261/2004 and the Warsaw and Montreal Conventions.
  4. Negligence claims in an aviation context.
  5. Package Holiday Regulation Claims

William’s commercial practice includes

William undertakes pleading and advisory work and represents clients in all types of commercial cases.
