Ms Jennifer Lee

Position
Jennifer is a specialist family law practitioner. She has a thriving practice in the area of family finance, and has successfully represented high net worth clients in complex cases involving inherited wealth, family businesses, significant pensions, trusts, and nuptial agreements. Many of her cases involve foreign assets and cross-jurisdictional issues, and the validity or otherwise of an overseas marriage or divorce (including those pertaining to jurisdictions in Asia and Africa). Jennifer has appeared in high-profile reported cases, most notably in Veluppillai v Veluppillai & Ors. [2015] EWHC 3095 (Fam)(High Court) and in LFL v LSL (McKenzie Friends and Breach of Court Orders) [2017] EWFC B62. She has experience of Court of Protection matters particularly where there are parallel divorce proceedings, and complex children work including surrogacy/modern parenting, having acted for commissioning parents based in the UK and abroad in HFEA cases. Jennifer is regularly instructed in arbitrations, private FDRs and mediations, and sits as a private FDR ‘judge’. She has been consistently ranked in the directories as a leading junior in her field, and has been highly commended for her attention to detail and her robust approach, both in negotiations and during hearings.
Career
Called 2007 (Lincoln’s Inn). A member of Pump Court Chambers since 2008, having completed pupillage with Edward Boydell and Leslie Samuels QC. She co-heads the Court of Protection Team in chambers with the latter, and sits on the ADR and Pupillage and Tenancy Committees (portfolio for pupillages). Jennifer now specialises exclusively in family law, with a particular emphasis on high net worth family finance and complex children work. She is regularly invited to give seminars on family law, and has written articles for Resolution, Westlaw and HNW ThoughtLeaders4, amongst other publications.
