Position

Charlotte has a particular interest in Clinical Negligence and Costs. She also accepts instructions in Personal Injury, Housing, and General Civil and Commercial matters; she is part of the Counsel team instructed by the Cabinet Office on the national Covid-19 Inquiry.

Charlotte has recently been instructed in the Supreme Court as second junior counsel to the RHA, led by PJ Kirby KC, in the case of R (on the application of PACCAR Inc and others) (Appellants) v Competition Appeal Tribunal and others (Respondents) – a case concerning third party litigation funding, which featured in The Lawyer as one of the Top 10 Appeal cases of 2023.

Charlotte often appears 4-5 times a week in the county courts, representing both claimants and defendants in interlocutory hearings and trials; she has appeared unled in the High Court on multiple occasions, tackling complex procedural issues.

Outside of work, Charlotte has spent half a year travelling solo around the world to photograph unusual libraries.
