Before taking silk Malcolm was junior counsel to the Crown (‘A’ panel) by the Attorney General and is a part-time Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Land Registration).

Spent two years in Japan on a Japanese Foreign Office programme; called 1993; judicial assistant to Lord Woolf MR; Lord Denning Scholarship, Lincoln’s Inn; Mansfield Scholarship, Lincoln’s Inn; Inns of Court Scholarship; Hardwicke Scholarship, Lincoln’s Inn; publications: contributor to the ‘Civil Practitioner’s Guide to the Human Rights Act 1998’ and ‘Halsbury’s Laws of England and Wales’ vol 37; contributor to real property section in Butterworth’s ‘Civil Court Precedents’; has conducted a series of seminars on procedural issues for professional clients.
