David Wood
Position
.David specialises in criminal and regulatory law and is recognised as a leading individual in both Crime (General) and Professional Discipline and Regulatory Law.
David is the former Secretary of the Criminal Bar Association and member of the Advocacy Training Committee for the Inner Temple. He is a tenacious and hard-hitting advocate who has established a very strong track record, both as a led junior and acting alone, in matters of great weight and complexity. He combines a genuine flair for advocacy with a common-sense approach and a dedication to careful preparation, fostered by a year at Bindmans LLP before coming to the Bar.
David has a long-held commitment to the proper application of Human Rights law. He is a volunteer duty scheme advocate for the Asylum Support Appeals Project and has delivered training on the rule of law in Hargeisa, Somaliland, and to delegates in the UK from the African Prisons Project.
