Career

Guy Davison has undertaken work in relation to all aspects of Human Rights and Immigration Law.  Guy has been recognised by the Legal 500 2018 edition as a Leading Junior in Band 4 as ‘a fearless advocate and one of the shrewdest and most savvy barristers I know.’  This adds to his successful entry in the 2017 edition as a barrister, who “knows the rules and technicalities of immigration law inside out.”  Guy was also recommended in the same band in 2016 and in 2015 as “a fearless advocate.”

Guy is ranked in the Legal 500 2023 edition,  Immigration, (Tier 4 – Leading Juniors) ‘Guy’s approach is to present the most difficult and novel points in the simplest way possible, which always works. He is a fearless advocate with excellent mannerism – his understanding of the ever-changing immigration rules and the complex case law is second to none.‘

Guy has represented clients from all four corners of the globe, in cases ranging from straightforward asylum matters to those involving witchcraft and war crimes. He frequently advises and represents investors and entrepreneurs.

As well as his immigration practice Guy works as a First Tier Tribunal Judge, on a part time basis, in Immigration, Social Entitlment and Employment.  He is also an associate examiner for the BSB.
