All aspects of residential and commercial property litigation including landlord and tenant disputes, real property and conveyancing problems, mortgage litigation and property related professional negligence disputes.  Nicola has particular expertise in residential leaseholder cases.  Notable cases include Leaseholders of Foundling Court and others v Camden LBC, Allied London (Brunswick) Ltd and others [2016] UKUT 366 (LC) (consultation on service charges), Tibber v Buckley [2015] EWCA Civ 1294 (enfranchisement), Jastrembski v Westminster City Council [2013] UKUT 0284 (LC) (service charges), South Tyneside Council v Ciarlo [2012] UKUT 247 (LC) (service charges); Chambers v Havering LBC [2011] EWCA Civ 1576 (adverse possession); Westminster City Council v CH2006 [2009] UKUT 174 (LC) (enfranchisement) and Green v Westleigh Properties Ltd [2008] EWHC 1474 (right of first refusal).

Publications:

Regular column in the Estates Gazette on residential property law called – “Residential View”.  Co-author (with other members of Tanfield Chambers) of “Service Charges and Management” (Sweet & Maxwell 3rd ed 2013).

Qualified as a Solicitor in 1991.  Called to the Bar 1998.  Joined Tanfield Chambers in 2012 (formerly at Hardwicke).
