Position

Mitchell Hayden-Cook commenced his third-six pupillage at Tanfield in September 2018, having completed pupillage at another leading commercial Chancery set specialising in property law.

Over the course of his pupillage he gained a wide experience of practice areas including commercial and residential property, landlord and tenant and commercial litigation. He accepts instructions in all of these areas.

Before coming to the Bar, Mitchell gained a First in History from Durham University as an undergraduate and went on to complete his law conversion course with Distinction. Called to the Bar by Gray’s Inn, Mitch was awarded a Bedingfield Scholarship during his legal training, the Inn’s top merit-based award. He completed his studies in Cambridge, obtaining a Masters in Commercial Law.

Outside of law, Mitch enjoys museums and galleries, long distance cycling challenges and watching the West Indies play cricket. He also performs in the Gray’s Inn Miscellany, the Inn’s annual Christmas show.
